About the artist

Jan Vytiska

Jan Vytiska (born 1985, Prague) studied intermedia at the University of Ostrava’s Faculty of Fine Arts. His paintings bring together Moravian Wallachian folklore, popular culture and dark romanticism. Mountain landscapes and fantastical figures form scenes where tenderness meets the grotesque and the unsettling.
